Asian Spiced Turkey with Roasted Potatoes
Ingredients
- 10 lb Turkey
- 1 tbsp Ginger powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Chinese 5 spice
- 1 tbsp Teriyaki
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Ponzu
- 2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Garlic and ginger paste
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- Half Lemon
- 1 cup Water
- 1 Chicken stock
- 2 Star anise
- 12 Baby Potatoes
- Handful of fresh coriander to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In a bowl, combine ginger powder, garlic powder, Chinese 5 spice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, ponzu, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger paste, lemon juice, and stir.
- Place half lemon in the cavity of the chicken, then truss it up.
- Generously brush the marinade on the turkey, place on a tray and add water, chicken stock and star anise. Cover with tin foil and place in the oven for 1hr. Remove from the oven and brush every 30mins.
- After 2 hours of cooking in total, remove from oven and place baby potatoes on the tray, roast for a further 45mins, then remove and garnish with coriander.
- Use the juices from the turkey as a sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
